Raoul Illidge: the man behind the sports complex that carries his name
A short profile of Raoul Illidge, whose name the Raoul Illidge Sports Complex in Cay Hill carries; Governor Holiday credited his work behind the complex, which opened in 1987.

Raoul Illidge is the man whose name is carried by the Raoul Illidge Sports Complex in Cay Hill, Sint Maarten's multi-purpose sports facility. He is not the man A.T. Illidge Road is named after; that road honours a different Illidge.

The sports complex
The complex in Cay Hill carries his name, as a 2014 speech by Governor Eugene Holiday and Soualiga Newsday both show. In that speech, on 7 March 2014, the Governor said the facility was officially opened in 1987 "thanks to the contributions of many and in particular to the invaluable input, efforts and work of Mr. Raoul Illidge whose name this facility proudly carries".
Carnival Village
The Daily Herald reported on 15 April 2019 that the St. Maarten Carnival Development Foundation honoured Illidge for his development of Carnival Village, part of Sint Maarten Carnival.
