About the championship
The Caribbean Sailing Association announced on July 14, 2026, that this is the 30th edition of the championship, which was first held in 1985 and is sanctioned by the CSA. Team Antigua arrives as the reigning Nations Cup champion, having won six titles in a row, most recently in 2025. "Hosting the 30th edition is exciting for the Sint Maarten Yacht Club and for our island," SMYC manager Saskia Revelman said in the CSA release.
SMYC's 2026–27 season calendar lists the championship among its other dinghy races, alongside Bart's Bash on September 12 and the Budget Marine Optimist Championship on November 26–29.
