Collective Prevention Services (CPS), St. Maarten Medical Center (SMMC) and Radboudumc in the Netherlands are inviting parents and expectant parents to take a community survey on vaccination and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), SMN News reported. VSA Minister Claret Connor highlighted the survey at the Council of Ministers press briefing on Wednesday, October 21.
Who can take part
According to The Daily Herald, the survey is open to adults aged 18 and over living in St. Maarten, Curaçao or Aruba who are expecting a child or have children aged 0 to 5. Connor said similar surveys are running in Curaçao and Aruba.
What it asks
Connor said the research seeks insight into public awareness, concerns and perceptions about RSV vaccination. The Daily Herald reported that it is anonymous and takes a few minutes, and that the results will feed into a roadmap for RSV prevention on the islands.
How to take it
The survey is available in English, Spanish, Creole and Dutch through the QR code on its flyer. For more information, residents can call CPS at 542-1570 or SMMC at 543-1111, SMN News reported.
