DUO opens temporary student-finance office at USM from November 23 to 27
DUO, the Dutch agency for student finance, will run a temporary service office at the University of St. Martin from November 23 to 27. No appointment is needed; bring valid ID.

DUO (Dienst Uitvoering Onderwijs), the Dutch agency that handles student finance, will open a temporary service office at the University of St. Martin (USM) from Monday, November 23, to Friday, November 27, according to DUO's website. 721news also reported the visit.
Where and when
The office will be at USM, Soualiga Road #1, Philipsburg. DUO lists these opening hours:
- Monday, November 23: 12:00 to 17:00
- Tuesday, November 24: 8:00 to 17:00
- Wednesday, November 25: 11:00 to 19:00
- Thursday, November 26: 11:00 to 19:00
- Friday, November 27: 8:00 to 14:00
No appointment is needed. DUO asks visitors to bring a valid passport, ID card or driver's licence.
What staff can help with
According to DUO, staff will answer questions about student finance and repaying student debt, and can help fill in forms.
721news reported that people with DUO student debt will be told in November what their monthly repayment for 2027 will be. Former students can visit the office for help checking that amount, and 721news said it helps to bring income statements for 2024 and 2025.
St. Maarten is one stop on DUO's Caribbean visit, which runs from November 2 to December 4.
