Reported 26 October 2026
Fishing businesses in Saint-Martin have until Friday, October 30, 2026 to apply for a State fuel aid of €0.25 per litre, according to the Agence de services et de paiement (ASP), which runs the scheme. The aid covers professional fuel bought and paid for between June 1 and August 31, 2026.
Who can apply
According to the ministry, the aid is open to French fishing businesses in mainland France, Guadeloupe, Guyane, Martinique, Mayotte, La Réunion and Saint-Martin. To qualify, a business must have a SIRET number, be registered under activity code 0311Z or earn at least 50% of its turnover from fishing, and be up to date with its social and tax obligations.
How to apply
Each business may file one application, through the ASP's online service. The window opened on September 23 and closes on October 30, the ASP and the Ministry of Ecological Transition say.
The ministry lists the documents: a copy of ID for individuals, proof of legal representation where relevant, the company's bank details (RIB), and an accountant's certificate of the litres bought. Micro-businesses can instead provide a statement from a trusted third party.
Businesses that already applied for the April–May aid and whose situation has not changed only need to send the accountant's or trusted third party's statement of litres for June to August, according to the ASP and the ministry.
Payment and budget
The ministry says payment should follow about four weeks after a complete file is received. It puts the budget for the June–August period at €18 million nationally. Aid for September and October will be announced later, the ministry says. It also says State-guaranteed zero-rate loans are available through local Bpifrance offices from October 1.
According to the ASP, the aid follows higher energy prices after events in the Middle East.
The earlier window is closed
An earlier window, published by the Préfecture de Saint-Barthélemy et Saint-Martin, paid €0.20 per litre for April 2026 and €0.35 per litre for May 2026. Its deadline was June 30, 2026, and it is now closed.
