Joint St. Maarten/St. Martin team to compete at Taste of the Caribbean, the first since 2017
A joint St. Maarten/St. Martin culinary team will compete at Taste of the Caribbean in Barbados from November 16 to 19, the first island team since 2017.

St. Maarten and St. Martin will send a joint team of culinary professionals to the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association's (CHTA) Taste of the Caribbean competition in Barbados, the island's first team since 2017. The St. Maarten Hospitality & Trade Association (SHTA), the Office de Tourisme de Saint-Martin and the St. Maarten Tourism Bureau announced the team, 721news reported.
The competition
SMN News reported that the event will run from November 16 to 19 at Wyndham Sam Lord's Castle, with 15 destinations taking part. CHTA announced the line-up on October 20. Seven categories include the new Beef, Seafood and Vodka competitions.
