La Samanna, A Belmond Hotel, reopened for the season on 15 November 2024, according to a Belmond release published on 20 September 2024. The resort at Baie Longue on the French side sits in about 55 acres of gardens, Belmond said.

What was planned

According to Belmond, the season programme included a "Sail & Soul" wellness retreat from 10 to 14 December 2024 led by the Portuguese-born sailor and speaker Ricardo Diniz, who was coming from a similar retreat at Cap Juluca, Belmond's resort in Anguilla. Guests could book sessions individually, including catamaran trips and morning yoga. Belmond also described bee-themed wellness treatments, relaxed fine dining and holiday celebrations.

Recommend, a US travel-trade publication, reported the reopening date based on the same Belmond release. In July 2024, Caribbean Journal featured La Samanna in a guide to the French side, describing it as an 83-room boutique resort and noting a renovation that included a major refresh of its eight pool villas.
