The 66th St. Martin Day was celebrated on Tuesday 11 November 2025 under the theme "Sankofa — Learning from the past, to build for the future", the Government of Sint Maarten announced. The main celebration was held at the Jocelyn Arndell Festival Village in Philipsburg.

The programme

According to the government, the day included the Ringing of the Joy Bells and a noon National Cultural Parade from the Jose Lake Sr./John Cooper Ball Park to the Festival Village. Officials from both sides of the island gave addresses there after the parade, followed by a Cultural Manifestation with local artists and bands from 6 pm to 11:45 pm.

Le Pélican reported that the 2025 programme was organised jointly by the Sint Maarten government and the Collectivité, with most official ceremonies on the Dutch side. A motorcade left from the Bellevue border monument in the morning. On the French side, French Quarter (Quartier d'Orléans), the traditional home of the celebration, held its fête at the Thelbert Carti stadium car park from noon to 10 pm.

Founding fathers

The government named the day's founding fathers as Dr. Claude Wathey, Clem Labega, Felix Choisy and Dr. Hubert Petit.
