Reported 22 August 2025.
Sint Maarten recorded 471,577 stayover arrivals at Princess Juliana International Airport in 2024, up 19.6%, or 77,524 visitors, on 2023, SoualigaPost reported, citing government statistics.
Where visitors came from
According to SoualigaPost, North America (the United States and Canada) supplied 317,970 stayover visitors, 67.3% of the total. Europe accounted for 111,736, up 16.6%. Caribbean visitors rose 37.3% to 17,963, and South American visitors rose 80% to 10,724.
A change in counting
On 9 July 2025 the Department of Statistics said the immigration service had upgraded its data system in November 2024, improving the accuracy of stayover figures. Part of the 2024 rise may therefore reflect better counting rather than more visitors.
