The final stage
According to Le Pélican, the last stage covered 88 km. Guadeloupe's Meving Gene, who wore the best climber's jersey, won the stage in a sprint just before 1 PM, ahead of Trinidad's Jadien Neaves and Fabien Arthein. Clément, in the leader's yellow jersey, finished about 20 seconds behind them. With more than a minute's lead in the overall standings, he was never under threat on the final day.
The race ran over five days of competition. It was the first time the territory had staged a multi-stage tour of its own.
Why it mattered
A fifth-place finish and the combativity prize gave a home rider a strong result against visiting teams from Guadeloupe, France and Trinidad. A year earlier, Carty had finished fourth in the 2024 Grand Prix cycliste de Saint-Martin.
