Flights and passengers
The Minister said the closure affected about 40 flights and left roughly 1,250 passengers stranded. There were no reports of damage at the airport apart from some arrival tents left outside. The Minister said hotel and marina operators had also been contacted for their assessments.
Market vendors
The Minister also said stalls at the Philipsburg marketplace had been destroyed in the storm. The vendors were already due to move to a temporary pavilion, and the storm delayed that work.
