Vie L'Ven at Indigo Bay to become The Setai St. Maarten, the brand's first Caribbean resort
Altree Developments and The Setai announced in December 2025 that the Vie L'Ven project at Indigo Bay would open as The Setai St. Maarten, a 205-key hotel with private villas and residences, with completion expected in 2028.

The Vie L'Ven resort and residences under construction at Indigo Bay will open as The Setai St. Maarten, the developer and the hotel brand announced in a joint release on 18 December 2025. According to the release, it will be The Setai's first property in the Caribbean, adding to the brand's hotels in the United States and the Middle East.
The partners said the main hotel would have 205 keys plus private villas. Construction was under way, with completion expected in 2028, according to Toronto-based Altree Developments and The Setai, which is owned by the Nakash family.
What was planned
According to the release, the resort was to include a beach club with cabanas and butler service, a Les Clefs d'Or concierge team, three pools including one for adults only, a 30,000-square-foot spa, tennis and pickleball courts, beach water sports, a children's playroom and childcare, and access to a protected nature reserve. Five restaurant concepts were planned, two of them based on concepts from The Setai in Miami Beach.
The project combines hotel rooms with residences for sale, in one- to four-bedroom layouts from about 620 to more than 2,000 square feet, and dual-key options up to 6,000 square feet. A sales gallery with a model suite was open on Indigo Bay Boulevard.

Zev Mandelbaum, president and CEO of Altree Developments, said in the release that bringing The Setai's first Caribbean property to the island would honour St. Maarten's character while setting a new level of hospitality for the region.
