VROMI warns against pumping wastewater into drains and onto roads
The Ministry of VROMI reminded the public that discharging wastewater into government drains or onto public roads is prohibited, and said it will block illegal pipes.

The Ministry of VROMI reminded the public that discharging or pumping wastewater into government drainage systems or onto public roads is strictly prohibited, in a release carried by 721news.
The rules
According to the ministry, doing so violates the National Wastewater Ordinance and the Algemeen Politie Keur (APK). Property owners, businesses and contractors are urged to contain wastewater in sealed holding tanks and dispose of it through approved methods.
Enforcement
The ministry said it will monitor and take enforcement action. Where pipes or connections are found to be illegally discharging into government drains or onto roads, measures will include blocking them.
Residents who see suspected illegal discharge are encouraged to report it to the Ministry of VROMI and Justice.
