Its ATR 42 operations were audited under IOSA, and its DHC-6 Twin Otter operations were assessed under ISSA. Winair said that made it the only airline in the world currently holding both registrations at the same time, a claim also reported by Caribbean Pulse.
The airline said the process began in early 2024 with internal auditor training for managers, followed by preparation across flight, cabin and ground operations, maintenance, cargo and security. "Safety is the foundation of everything we do at Winair," the release said.
