Winair signs three-year deal to fly between Sint Maarten and Montserrat until 2029
Winair will fly at least three times a week between Sint Maarten and Montserrat until 30 September 2029 under a new three-year agreement with the Government of Montserrat.

Winair has signed a three-year agreement with the Government of Montserrat to run scheduled flights between Sint Maarten and Montserrat, the airline announced on 16 October 2026. Under the deal, Winair will fly the route at least three times a week with its Twin Otter aircraft until 30 September 2029.

The agreement will be reviewed every year, according to Winair. It is part of Montserrat's three-year Access Strategy, which treats the air link with Sint Maarten as a key part of the island's transport network for residents, visitors, businesses and government travel.
"Reliable air access is vital to Montserrat and to the wider Caribbean region," Winair Chief Executive Officer Hans van de Velde said in the release.
Why it matters
The deal puts the Sint Maarten–Montserrat link on a multi-year footing. Winair had flown the route under shorter contracts since 2025, Aviacionline reported. The aviation news site also described Princess Juliana International Airport as Montserrat's main gateway for onward connections to North America and Europe.
What happens next
Winair has not yet published a schedule for the service. The airline said flights and seats will be sold through its own sales channels, including winair.sx.
